Law Enforcement Request

This "Law Enforcement Request Operation Guide" is formulated for law enforcement agencies and government officials who require our assistance in evidence collection and criminal investigations, and is not applicable to private investigations or civil litigation conducted by private parties.

Law enforcement requests ("Law Enforcement Requests") submitted to us will be processed in accordance with the "Service Agreement," "Privacy Policy," any applicable laws and regulations, and our internal policies as revised from time to time. Please fill out all law enforcement requests submitted to 97EX according to the English requirements in the form: Information Collection Form

When submitting law enforcement requests, please ensure compliance with the following rules:

  1. Law enforcement requests are sent from email addresses with official government domains, and include proof documents demonstrating your authority as a representative of the law enforcement agency to handle such requests (e.g., clear photos of official badges or official authorization letters proving your authority and current position in the law enforcement agency);
  2. Law enforcement requests should be written in English;
  3. The request should clearly specify the detailed information of the specific actions and/or information requested, including but not limited to the duration and scope of the requested actions and/or information (e.g., duration of freezing);
  4. Should be accompanied by stamped and/or signed court orders, subpoenas, search warrants, and/or official letters issued by your law enforcement agency, which should include the following detailed information:
  • The full name of your law enforcement agency and proof that your agency has the authority to jointly submit corresponding law enforcement requests with courts having jurisdiction, please provide corresponding written proof documents;
  • Your official contact information (email address and/or phone number);
  • A chronological overview of the investigated incident, including important facts of the case, and where permitted, provide the following information:
    • Fund flow situation, including all relevant wallet addresses and transaction hash values ("TXID") involved in the transactions (including the token type and quantity of each transaction, as well as the relevant blockchain), to depict how transactions trace back to 97EX. This can be provided in text description or spreadsheet format;
    • Total amount involved (in token denomination and approximate USD valuation), and for our clearer understanding of the case, please provide fund details as much as possible;
    • Investigation findings so far, including but not limited to information related to suspected fraudsters, and explain under what circumstances the victims were persuaded to decide to conduct relevant transactions with the suspected fraudsters;
    • Information related to relevant 97EX users ("involved users"), including but not limited to usernames, user IDs, registered phone numbers, registered email addresses, transaction hashes or addresses, wallet addresses, and other information that may help us identify the identity of the involved users;
    • And any other relevant information that may help us understand the alleged incident.
  1. If the law enforcement request requires freezing or confiscating the assets of involved users, we will not disclose to the involved users that such actions have been taken based on your law enforcement agency's law enforcement request. However, in certain cases, we may seek your prior approval to disclose to the involved users the reasons for such account freezing and/or asset confiscation. We will not disclose your request without your prior permission. However, you should understand that if you do not grant us such disclosure permission, we may not be able to maintain account freezing on a voluntary basis for an extended period.
  2. If you authorize us to disclose your freezing request, we may also, with your prior consent, disclose your official contact information to the involved users so that they can contact you directly to assist in your investigation.
  3. For certain cases, we may need you to provide further information to ensure our compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  4. After receiving law enforcement requests, we typically need 5 to 15 business days to conduct internal investigations. Please note that if the case is complex, the internal investigation time may be extended.
  5. The content contained herein shall not be construed as our consent to any law enforcement request or our agreement to accept the jurisdiction of any jurisdiction. We reserve all rights, including but not limited to the right to resort to all available legal and equitable remedies and the right to challenge jurisdiction.
  6. If you have any regulatory or law enforcement questions or need any assistance, please send your inquiries to [email protected]
